LG iQ video demonstration

MobileSyrup managed to get some LG iQ action on video for us. The device features a fingerprint reader to unlock the devices but seems to feature a resistive touchscreen and no stylus (would have been great if it had a capacitive panel). The device is expected to launch in Canada on Telus for $99 on contract before the end of the year.

The specs of the device are the following:

- Windows Mobile 6.5
- 3.2-inch WVGA touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 800
- 4-row slide out QWERTY keyboard
- Qualcomm SnapDragon chipset @ 1Ghz
- 5 megapixel camera with auto focus
- Wifi, BT2.1, aGPS
- 1500Mha battery
- 113 x 55 x 15.6 mm 127g

Nokia N900 unboxing video and pictures

N900 unboxing
MyNokiaBlog has uploaded the following detailed unboxing video of the Nokia N900, he’s also posted a fairly extensive picture gallery of the device and all the accessories include in the retail packaging.

Looks sexy and responsive, Maemo 5 looks like a winner IMO. Can’t wait to get my hands on it (if it ever comes out at a decent price).

HTC to test TD-LTE handsets in China next year

HTC china lte
HTC’s CEO Peter Chou revealed that the company is going to roll-out TD-LTE (the Chinese LTE tech) handset for testing during the Shangaï Expo 2010. Don’t gets you hopes up though, LTE isn’t going to globally launch until 2011 at the earliest. Peter Chou also said that HTC is rushing shipments of HTC Heros to Sprint and HTC HD2s in Europe due to high demand.

HTC will continue to commit to the development of the TD-LTE technology and strengthen its cooperation with China Mobile in the production of related CPE products, Chou stressed.
HTC’s performance has been strong in November, the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) quoted Chou as saying. HTC’s November revenues are likely to top NT$15-16 billion (US$465.84-496.89 million) compared to NT$12.7 billion in October, the paper noted.
