RIM launchs BlackBerry Developer’s blog

I just wanted to point out that RIM has launched a blog two days ago aimed at developers working on BlackBerry apps. So if you are a BlackBerry dev be sure to head over there.

I am absolutely thrilled to be welcoming you here with the very first post of the BlackBerry Developer’s Blog.  We have been working very hard to create a great blog for our developer community with compelling and informative content.  The BlackBerry Developer’s Blog will be a key component to the overall BlackBerry® Developer Zone  experience, and will cover three distinct areas:
  • Technical Discussion and Insights – Including best practices for BlackBerry development, code snippets, and general technical information on how to make applications users will come back to time and again.
  • Market Insight – Discussions of trends and opportunities in mobile development and mobile applications that RIM sees from breathing the mobile industry every single day.
  • Developer Engagement – We have substantial plans to get more engaged with our regional and local developer communities all around the world, from Australia to Argentina and everywhere in-between.  We will be using the BlackBerry Developer’s Blog to communicate events in your region and opportunities to meet other BlackBerry developers.
One of the important aspects of a great blog is community engagement and we’re making that a primary focus on the BlackBerry Developer’s Blog. We will, of course, respond to your questions and comments, but we’re also looking for you to share your experiences and insights with the rest of the BlackBerry development community.

HTC Whitestone diagrams spotted

WMExperts have posted a couple of diagrams representing the HTC Whitestone we talked about here. Nothing earth-shattering obviously. This device is probably one of the last high-end HTC smartphone using Qualcomm’s MSM7XXX chipset and a resistive touchscreen. So don’t expect it to be upgradable past Windows Mobile 6.5.
