Windows Phone 7 device firmware updates being rolled out for Omnia 7, Optimus 7 and others

Several Windows Phone devices have firmware updates now available to instal when the handset is plugged in the the PC. Keep in mind that these will only update the firmware part and not the OS itself. As of right now several models are part of the roll out: the Samsung Omnia 7, HTC Mozart, LG Optimus 7. There nothing to really get excited about here folks and in the case of the Omnia 7 this update doesn’t included the latest bootloader available for the device which can be manually installed here (but it does include the disable capacitive hardware buttons when the screen is touched). As a matter of fact I didn’t even get the update notification at all.

My current KC1 firmware is:

Firmware Rev 2424.11.3.1
Hardware Rev 3.15.0.4
Radio Software 2424.11.2.2
Radio Hardware 0.0.0.800
Bootloader Ver 5.3.0.4
Chip SOC 0.36.2.0

Today’s Omnia 7 update :

Firmware Rev 0222.11.2.2
Hardware Rev 3.15.0.4
Radio Software 2424.11.2.2
Radio Hardware 0.0.0.800
Bootloader Ver 5.2.1.4
Chip SOC 0.36.2.0

The LG Optimus 7 will jump from:

Firmware Rev 1.0.7.10
Hardware Rev 1.0.0.0
Radio Software 1.0.7.10
Radio Hardware 0.3.5.0
Bootloader Ver 1.5.0.0
Chip SOC 0.30.2.0

to:

Firmware Rev 1.0.10.10
Hardware Rev 1.0.0.0
Radio Software 1.0.10.10
Radio Hardware 0.3.5.0
Bootloader Ver 1.5.1.0
Chip SOC 0.30.2.0

The HTC Mozart firmware update:

Firmware Rev 2250.21.13301.073
Hardware Rev 0004
Radio Software 5.65.09.25_22.45.50.21U
Radio Hardware A.102.0.D4
Bootloader Ver 1.33.2250.1(123643)
Chip SOC 02.2.5.0

Anyway, just plug-in your device, install it and report back if you discover anything new.

Thanks to everybody who sent me info
!

Edit: If you are an Omnia 7 user who can’t get the update process to succeed try to patch your device first: here

Ok, don’t worry to much about it. The roll out is most probably gradual and the timing will depend on your country and carrier.

that mean the update for omnia is older than KC1! right?

That’s how it looks like based on the Bootloader version.

I’m in the same boat as well except my Bootlaoder version is 4.11.2.6,
even ran the patch tool, still no update

My dad’s Omnia 7 (SFR branded, a French operator) just got updated: it’s what is said on this page, except the Firmware Rev, which stands now at 2424.11.2.3 — what Gooba said.
I have the same phone, but unbranded, and I’m still waiting on my firmware update. Even before my dad’s update, my firmware was quite outdated compared to his. Behold:

    OS version: 7.0.7392.0
    Firmware revision number: 2424.10.10.5
    Hardware revision number: 3.15.0.4
    Radio software version: 2424.10.10.3
    Radio hardware version: 0.0.0.800
    Bootloader version: 4.10.1.5
    Chip SOC version: 0.36.2.0
