Nokia releases Creative Studio picture editing application for Lumia Windows Phones

Nokia has just released a new picture editing application for their range of Lumia Windows Phone handset named creative Studio and available right now in the marketplace. Besides edition pictures this app will also let you shoot panoramas with the use of the devices sensors (make sure to calibrate your compass before attempting to use this feature though).

Creative studio is somewhat reminiscent of Samsung’s FunShot Windows Phone application which was released last year. Both feature live effects in the viewfinder and other goodies (cropping, sharpening, exopsure etc..) but Nokia’s application is miles better in terms of overall usage and workflow though. Nokia Creative Studio is also fully integrated with the OS so you can simply browse your Picture Hub select an image and then open it in the app from there. Just hit the marketplace to try it out now and hit the break for more pictures.

UPDATE: The App can be found here (click on it with your Lumia device)

I do hope this is not what Dinning stated about Lumia’s pano function…

Not in market, not in Nokia Collection ….

You have to search for “creative studio” with Lumia phone.

I have got the app, it is not yet visible directly. I searched for creative studio on my Lumia and it didnt work out. The trick as of now is to search for Nokia and click on any of the Nokia apps. Now in the description of the app, scroll down and you can see the link “more from Nokia Corporation”. Click on this link and you can see the app listed.

When using the direct link my Lumia 800 (updated to the 1600.2487.8107.12070 firmware manually) the Marketplace tells me the app isn’t available for my phone due to needing either a software update / a different region / a different carrier. My handset is a carrier-branded Three UK one.
