New Foursquare application for Windows Phone 7 shows up

You probably already know that a Foursquare application for Windows Phone 7 has been open sourced and is freely available for download since March but apparently the team at Clarity Consulting is working on an other one (the official app?) and things are looking quite good based on the pictures that have just been posted on Twitter:

Fear not future WP7 user, the platform will have an application for all the major services on launch day (Netflix,Facebook, Twitter,Yelp, Xxxx etc..)! But now Copy and paste…I know I know…it will come soon enough..

Clarity Consulting seems like they truly get the metro philosophy. Everything I see coming from them has been top notch and I can’t wait to see some final apps ready for the phone.

I have a feeling them when the times comes I’ll be happily forking over some cash to them for their lovely products. :)

Agreed. Clarity will probably pump out some of the best looking Windows Phone 7 applications alongside Vertigo and Archetype (those are the most well known Silverlight dev houses in the Us)

Thanks for the compliment. Just to be clear that app was is not the official foursqaure app and not affiliated with microsoft or foursquare or clarity at all. It was just something I built on the weekend for fun since i love using foursquare & wp7 and i needed a sample app to try some other code out. We are building some apps but foursquare is not one of them. I only posted the pics because most of the apps i see are just a black background with some white text and i think you can make more exciting UIs that incorporate a brand with the metro style. I’m not a designer though so the clarity created apps will be cooler than the random things I build in my free time.
