First HTC Mondrian render and early specs

Saterday’s Windows Phone 7 leaked ROM seems to contain a lot of information about the mysterious HTC Mondrian handset. We now have some early specs and info: The renders above, which are probably just place holders, as the device looks a tiny bit to similar to the original HTC Touch HD, are supposedly what the HTC Mondrian looks like  in the Zune Desktop software and Windows 7 Device Center when hooked up to a PC. The two other intersting bits of info are that the handsets has a “4.3in WVGA Optrex” screen (like the HD2 & EVO 4G?) and a Qualcomm QSD8650A/B chipset (the new 45nm Snapdragon clocked at 1.3 Ghz).

I hope they change a little bit the design of this phone. If the screen is 4.3″ then it must be and feel huge in hand.

I remember I’ve seen a concept on the internet of HD3 in a blog, check here which was kind of amazing.

But the guy created a design based with a 4.5″ screen. I hope HTC merges both designs :)

If the HTC Mondrian does indeed have a 4.3″ screen it will look closer to what the HD2 and EVO 4G. The renders are IMO placeholders based on the original HD.
