HTC announces Five Windows Phone 7 handsets

Just in case you didn’t follow today’s big news here’s HTC press release announcing their five (yes FIVE) Windows Phone 7 devices: The HTC HD7, HTC 7 Trophy, HTC 7 Mozart, HTC  7 Surround and HTC 7 Pro. Four of these devices will launch on October 21 with only the HTC 7 Pro launching next year on Sprint. Not all of them will be available world wide thought. The HTC 7 Surround, and HTC 7 Pro are currently only scheduled to launch in the US and the HTC 7 Trophy will only launch in Europe and Asia. One thing is clear though; every Windows Phone 7 device announced today features the same basic specification (the Qualcomm SnapDragon QSD 8250) so you won’t see any major difference at all between them. Full press release after the break:

HTC Mondrian / T8788 render shows up with AT&T U-Verse Hub

Don’t you love it when leaked renders of upcoming handset just pop up left and right? Today’s the HTC Mondrian which doesn’t exactly look like the previous “HTC Mondrian” renders at all. So I will assume that this is the real Mondrian and  that the previous shots featured the HTC 7 Trophy /Spark.Notice that device pictured above doesn’t feature the volume rocker on the the left side of the device but on the right side  and that the earpiece has a chrome bezel just like the HTC T8788 that we saw a couple of weeks ago. So there you have it. The HTC Mondrian coming out on AT&T is the HTC T8788with the sliding-out speaker. You can clearly see AT&T branding and U-Verse Hub on the phone (also not that this render is identical to the one feature in the leaked TV Spots).

HTC Spark aka HTC Mondrian aka HTC 7 Trophy shot in the wild

Leaks? What leaks? Yeah things aren’t going to stop now that we are nearing the launch of Windows Phone 7. Here are several pictures of the HTC Spark which is also apparently called the HTC Mondrian or HTC 7 Trophy. THere’s othing we haven’t seen before (the press shots leaked last night). The device does look quite nice IMO (not the HTC Hub tho…) More pictures after the break:

HTC Mondrian press shots leaked

Is it the HTC Mondrian or HTC 7 Trophy ? One thing for sure thought: both phones look identical. There’s still no word on the specs besides what was rumored a few days ago and nothing seems to have been extracted from the Spark / Trophy Rom that leaked 2 days ago or the Mondrian Rom that leaked this summer (this one mentioned the presence of a Qualcomm QSD8250A aka MSM8255 chipset) . More Pictures after the break:

HTC Spark / HTC 7 Trophy Windows Phone 7 Rom leaks

Let the leaks begin! The second HTC windows Phone 7 device rom has just leaked a few minutes ago and is apparently Vodafone’s HTC Spark aka HTC 7 Trophy (aka HTC Mondrian?) Rom (RUU_Spark_Vodafone_UK_1.07.161.04_Spark_5.50.09_RELEASE). As you can see in the screenshot above the device pictured looks exactly like the HTC 7 Trophy. Not much else is known about the ROM but I’m sure that XDA folks will take it apart soon enough. The first WP7 device rom that leaked was the HTC Mondrian’s back in May.

HTC Mondrian shows up in AT&T’s Windows Phone 7 TV ads

Looks like AT&T is readying its Windows Phone 7 TV ads. The surprise here is that the HTC 7 Trophy (or is it the HTC Mozart / Schubert) is apparently going to be officially called the HTC Mondrian. You all remember that the HTC Mondrian’s ROM leaked more than 3 months ago (and yes it was an AT&T rom) and mentioned that the device was packing a Qualcomm QSD8250A chipset (now renamed MSM8255). There’s still a lot of mystery surrounding the actual internals of HTC’s WP7 devices and Microsoft’ France head of Windows Phone’s Tweet about the rumored HTC HD7 / HD3 isn’t helping either (the tweet has since been deleted..):

Oh and for guys who think they know everything on HTC HD3, I Can Tell you you are wrong

Also note that the ads aren’t final as you can notice at the end of the first one (you see the place holder in the actors hand with the tracking dots used to composite the WP7 UI later in post-production).

Another Windows Phone 7 handset from HTC hits the FCC: HTC NM8PC40100

There isn’t much info about this HTC NM8PC40100 Windows Phone 7 device so this could be one of the many variants of the HTC Schubert, Mozart etc.. One thing is for sure: It’s a GSM device that supports the GSM850 and GSM1900 bands. It definitely looks like there’s going to be more than a few Windows Phone 7 devices launching this fall.

New HTC T8788 Windows Phone 7 revealed

Engadget’s master leaker is back at it again today. After leaking the Samsung Cetus, LG C900 and T-Mobile G2 here comes the mysterious HTC T8788 Windows Phone 7 device spotted on AT&T’s network a few days ago. Not much is know about it yet other than whet you se in the pictures. The screen seems to big a bit bigger than 3.7 (but this can be a illusion caused by the camera) and the device apparently has a sliding speaker instead of a sliding keyboard. One More picture after the break:

More blurry pictures of the HTC Mozart

Xmoo has posted a few more extremely blurry pictures of the HTC Mozart  Windows Phone 7 handset in the last few days. Nothing to really get excitided about given that everything you see here can bee seen in better quality in the HTC Schubert video posted last week.

HTC Mozart Windows Phone 7 device live pictures leaked

Xmoo over on Twitter has just posted a couple of live pictures of the HTC Mozart Windows Phone 7 which looks identical to the HTC Schubert just like I had guessed. As you can see in the pictures above the device does have an aluminium uni-body and can be opened to slide the sim card and battery in. The camera Flash definitely looks like it’s a Xenon too. Don’t forget to check out the video of the HTC Schubert here.

HTC Schubert Windows Phone 7 handset shown in video

Look at what we’ve got here: The first live video of the HTC Schubert Windows Phone 7 device and it looks kinda sexy in my opinion. The device seems to have a aluminium uny-body like the HTC legend and looks really similar to the one we have seen previously in the leaked shots (and this sort of confirms what I already though: the HTC Schubert, Gold, Mozart.. are the same devices for defferent carriers and with slightly diffrent design). The camera and flash look interesting as it seems like both are different from what we currently have on HTC handsets (Xenon flash, better lens?) The HTC Schubert is apparently scheduled to launch on T-Mobile US on November 17th (and earlier in EU) Hit the break to check the video:

LG C900 and HTC T8788 Windows Phone 7 devices running on AT&T’s network

Remember the LG C900 that I found out about back in April? Well it is now in the wild and running on AT&T’s network. The same goes for the HTC T8788 Windows Phone 7 device who was also caught by WMPU on the same AT&T pipes. This HTC handset is probably the Mondrian and / or the device with have seen a few days ago in the leaked spy shots.

First HTC Windows Phone 7 handset passes the FCC

Looks like today is the Windows Phone 7 devices “certification and leak” day. After the Asus handset spotted in Pakistan, the Samsung Cetus FCC certification, here come the first Windows Phone 7 device from HTC passing the FCC test. Unfortunately there isn’t much info about it in the filling other than the fact that the model number is PD26100, has BT, Wifi n  and supports the GSM 850 / UMTS I/II bands. Could the be the device we saw a few days ago? HTC Mozart, Mondrian, Schubert, Gold? We can only guess. But remember that another mysterious HTC device hit the FCC back in March and is supposed to go live on Sept 15th. Interestingly HTC has an event scheduled on September 14th, but this will probably only be for Android phones. Stay tuned…

First HTC Windows Phone 7 device shot in the wild

Well well…here are the first live shots of what appears to be HTC’s first Windows Phone 7 handset. Is it the HTC Mondrian, Mozart, Schubert….? Only time will tell but according to the tipster it packs a 1ghz SnapDragon chipset (so it probably isn’t the Mondrian which, according to its leaked rom, has a Qualcomm QSD8650A/B clocked 1.3ghz) a 3.7″ S-LCD screen, three capacitive touch buttons at the bottom and an 8Mpix camera on the back. Based on the picture HUB seen above the WP7 build seems to be really old (microsoft has seen changed the sample pictures found in the hub).

HTC Mozart Windows Phone 7 phone headed to T-Mobile?

So is it the HTC Mozart, HTC Schubert or are they both the same device like I’ve always thought? According to TMONews’ sources the HTC Mozart Windows Phone 7 handset is headed to T-Mobile US this fall. We first heard about this device a few weeks ago when it appeared in an internal Telstra document and we also found out its user agant string on HTC’s server just a few days ago.Now what is interesting here is that the leaked T-Mobile roadmap that popped up 2 days ago only mentions the HTC Schubert WP7 device. So are they both the same phone (like the HTC Mondrian, HTC Gold and HTC Spark…)?

HTC talks Windows Phone 7

PocketLint had the chance to chat with HTC‘s PR Eric Lin about the company’s Windows Phone 7 plans last week during Qualcomm’s UpLinq event in Sand Diego. Unfortunately nothing really new came out of it and it definitely looks (IMO) like HTC is kinda out of the loop when it come to WP7 development compared to Samsung and LG. As I’ve said many times before the OEM that has the most to loose with Microsoft’s new mobile OS is HTC because of the customization restrictions. Check some quotes after the break:

HTC Mozart and HTC Mondrian user agents confirms that Windows phone 7 is on board

Nothing really amazing here but the HTC Mozart and HTC Mondrian user agent strings confirm that both devices are running Windows Phone 7 (both User Agent are identical which could confirm that both device are actually the same but branded for different mobile operators). The mysterious LG C900 and LG E900 I posted about a while ago also shows Internet Explorer Mobile 7 as being the default browser on the devices.

HTC Schubert Windows Phone 7 handset launching November 17th on T-Mobile

After yesterday’s rumored HTC Gold UK launch date comes the HTC Schubert which will supposedly launch on T-Mobile US on November 17th according to a leaked roadmap. As I said yesterday, the HTC Schubert is probably the same device as the HTC Mondrian, Gold, Mozart etc… Interestingly it also looks like LG may have its LG Panther / GW910 Windows Phone 7 handset out around the same time as you can see in the leaked roadmap pictured above where there is non-Android LG handset launching in November to…

HTC Gold Windows Phone 7 phone rumored to launch in Europe this November

HTC Mondrian mock up extracted from ROM

File this under the rumor category: According to online retailer Omio the HTC Gold Windows Phone 7 handset we heard about a few weeks ago is scheduled to launch in November in the UK. One thing to remember is that  HTC’s CEO Peter Chou revealed a little while ago that only one HTC Windows Phone 7 was planned for 2010. so you shouldn’t be surprised if the HTC Gold is the same device as the HTC Mondrian, HTC Schubert, HTC Mozart and HTC Spark. The company has the habit of giving one handset a different codename depending on the mobile operator and country.
