iPhone 4 vs HTC EVO 4G HD video comparison

One more video comparison for you folks. This time it’s the iPhone 4 vs the HTC EVO 4G. And the winner is…..obviously the iPhone 4.Check out the video below and see how the HTC EVO 4G video suffers from crappy compression artifacts and totally messed contrast (with a nice purple tint as the center of the lense…) compared to the smoother image and framerate with more natural colors on the iPhone 4:

The iPhone video is defiantly more crisp but honestly not by a whole lot.

Did you both select the 720P option and watch it in fullscreen? Cause to me it also looks like the iPhone 4 is def a lot better than the EVO4G IMO.

I watched the video using all quality settings & all sizes. look, they are both decent for a phone cam, iPhone seems only slightly cleaner than the HTC EVO. Samsung Galaxy S cam seems to be the same quality as iPhone 4.

Evo is zoomed in closer to the opposite shore than iPhone. More zoom leads to more graininess. I wonder why the difference? Also, were these phones set to their default settings, or were adjustements made? The default video resolution on Evo is 640×480; much less than its capability of 1280×720.
