HTC HD2 Retail ROM benchmarks: Slower than before!

Well it looks like HTC managed to screw up the retail ROM of the recently released HTC HD2. According to SoloPalmari who did comparison benchmarks between the pre-release ROM and the ITA Retail ROM, the device takes a nose dive in performance (but is faster in CorePlayer!?). Now SPB benchmark doesn’t say much (it was never meant to be used on current hardware and isn’t optimized for it) But what’s scary is that they are reporting that the HD2 now suffers from lag and stutter when being used even-though the retail rom has acces to 448mb RAM (the pre-release only 356Mb). With the pre-release rom everything was fine and ran smoothly… Way to go HTC! Oh but I guess that’s Windows Mobile’s fault right?

Somebody will have to tell me why HTC also disabled multi-touch in IE Mobile and other apps, a feature that was available in the pre-release ROMs as seen here.
