VanGuide application for Windows Phone 7 released and open sourced

Microsoft MVP Mark Arteaga has just released his Vancouver Guide application for Windows Phone 7. Here’s the application description:

What exactly is VanGuide? Vanguide for Windows Phone 7 allows a user to view various landmarks in and around the Vancouver area. The user has the ability to view comments, ratings or tags to the landmark and add their own comments, ratings or tags.[...]VanGuide for Windows Phone 7 uses Silverlight for the UI and Visual Studio Express for Windows Phone was used to develop the application. Bing Maps Silverlight control is used to display the Open Data landmarks and allow the user to pan an zoom in on the landmarks.

The full source code is now freely available on codeplex and I recoreded a short video of the application in action that you can watch after the break:

Marathon GPS Tracking application for Windows Phone 7

The Marathon GPS Tracking application that is currently available on the Windows Mobile Market place is now being ported to Windows Phone 7 as seen in the video below. Kiva application for Windows Phone 7 looks awesome

This is getting better and better. The Windows Phone 7 application dedicated to the non-profit organization Kiva has just been revealed and frankly it looks superb! Arcane’s Tower Defense Windows Phone 7 game teaser

Ready from pretty cool XNA action on Windows Phone 7? French indie studio Graphic Stream have released the teaser trailer of Acarne’s Tower Defense: Wrath of the Gob King, a 3D Tower Defense game for Windows Phone developed with XNA that will be playable in single player and multi player mode. Adobe Flash Player 10.1 for Mobile is ready

Adobe has issued a press release today announcing that they have finally made the final version of Flash Player 10.1 Mobile available to its partners. Flash Player 10.1 will be available to Android handset including the Dell Streak, Google Nexus One, HTC EVO 4G, HTC Desire, HTC Incredible, DROID by Motorola, Motorola Milestone, Samsung Galaxy S once they are upgraded to Android 2.2 / Foryo. Flash Player 10.1 was also released to mobile platform partners to be supported on devices based on BlackBerry, webOS, future versions of Windows  Phone, LiMo, MeeGo and Symbian OS but no availability date was announced. To be perfectly clear here: Only Android 2.2 handset will have it in the coming days and only Windows Phone 7 is planned to received the 10.1 player (Adobe dumped the Windows Mobile 6.5 development back in February).
