As it was rumored/leaked last week Verizon’s HTC Touch Pro2 is going to be priced at $199 with a 2 years contract:

•The HTC Touch Pro2 will be available for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement on a voice plan with an e-mail feature or e-mail plan. Customers will receive the rebate in the form of a debit card; upon receipt, customers may use the card as cash anywhere debit cards are accepted.

•Beginning Friday, customers can order the HTC Touch Pro2 online at www.verizonwireless.com, in business sales channels and in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores. For additional information on Verizon Wireless products and services, visit a Verizon Wireless Communications Store, call 1-800-2 JOIN IN or go to www.verizonwireless.com.

This Touch Pro2 is also a world phone (it’s WCDMA and has GSM SIM card slot) like Sprint‘s version.

BGR and Engadget reporting that Verizon is set to launch the HTC Touch Pro2 for only $199 with a 2 years contract. This is quite a lot cheaper that on Sprint and T-Mobile where it’s $349 with the same type of contract. So if you are lucky to be part of the Verizon family grab yourself one of those devices and wait patiently t’ill October 6 to upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5.

One more Touch Pro2 news for you this morning. Engadget got there hands on the first picture of AT&T’s Touch Pro2 (supposedly called the Tilt 2). If I had to guess I would say that it doesn’t have a 3.5mm jack (like all GSM verions).
