First official photos of the Samsung Focus S

The still mysterious Samsung Focus S has finally shown its face courtesy of Microsoft today. The device’s full hardware specifications are still unknown same for it’s European variant that has yet to be announced. The whole design is definitely similar to the original Samsung Galaxy which looked kinda nice but definitely not amazing. on the other hand the Samsung Focus Flash looks identical to the European Samsung Omnia W. Anyway, let’s hope that Samsung get its act together and finally announces/ unveils something in the next few days. More picture after the break:

Samsung Focus S aka SGH-i937 hits the FCC

The Samsung SGH-i937 has just been submitted to the FCC for certification and this may be one of the reason why we still haven’t seen any official picture or Render of the recently announced Samsung Focus S windows Phone 7.5 handset. Once the device is certified, Samsung will probably start to talk more about it and show us the goods. The Focus S is going to be Samsung’s high-end Windows phone for the coming year with its 4.3″ Super AMOLED Plus display, 8 MPix and 1.3Mpix front camera all powered by a Qualcomm MSM8255 clocked at 1.4Ghz. The rest of the specifications are still a mystery.

Samsung Focus S and Samsung Focus Flash announced alongside AT&T Windows Phone 7.5 Mango line up

The time has finally come! Samsung has just announced its new Windows Phone 7.5 Mango handsets today alongside AT&T. The first one is the high-end Samsung Focus S (SGH-i937) which Features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 1.4GHz MSM8255 processor, 4G-capable speeds and a thin profile at 8.55 millimeters. It also includes front facing 1.3-megapixel and a rear facing 8-megapixel cameras. There’s also the Samsung Focus Flash which seems to be the I8350 and has the same MSM8255 clocked at 1.4 GHZ but a smaller 3.7″ Super AMOLED screen and 5MP camera and a Front facing camera.

AT&T is also going to offer the HTC Titan alongside all the other first generation Windows Phone 7 handsets already on the market (see my HTC Titan hands on preview here). I will update this post once we have the first official pictures/renders of theses new phones. Hopefully the European version of the Focus S is going to look better than the US (similar to the Focus VS Omnia 7).. So stay tuned.

Not so breaking news: Samsung working on upcoming high-end Windows Phone, the SGH-i937

Breaking news: Samsung is working on a new high end Windows Phone! After all I already talk / hint at this particular device back in May in my Windows Phone Mango preview and here right? …Well, apparently nobody paid attention or cared…. Anyway, the device will be the SGH-i937 in the US (the Focus is the i917 and the Galaxy S II is the i927) will feature a Super AMOLED Plus panel like the Galaxy S II (similar to how the Focus and Omnia 7 featured the same Super AMOLED panel as the Galaxy S) and is AT&T bound.
