MSN Onit Windows Phone 7 application hands on video

Microsoft has just released a new MSN application for Windows Phone 7 today which is apparently aimed at only one demographic: Young Men. MSN Onit is essential a MSN news readers which puts an emphasis on what guys are attracted too: Women, cars, Money, fitness etc.. So how doe it look like? Performance is quite good and UI retains follows the Metro guidelines. The only cons I see is that it’s strictly aimed at US users (and is only available in the US Marketplace AFAICS) and doesn’t run under the lock screen (unlike the cool MSN Videos application). Windows Live Messenger for Zune HD released

Looks like Windows Phone 7 isn’t the only platform getting Windows Live Messenger this fall. Microsoft has just released the Zune HD version of the messaging application on the Marketplace. As you can see in the screenshot above the application looks diffrent from the WP7 version revealed yesterday. The application apparently features FaceBook,Flickr and MySpace integration. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be widely¬†availalbe yet (I can’t see it yet in the Marketplace).

Messenger and MSN applications coming to Windows Phone 7

UK Blogger Michael Gillet sat down with Microsoft UK’s head of marketing for Windows Phone 7, Oled Ran who showed him a demo of an unannounced MSN application that apparently works as an advanced RSS reader for the MSN news services (and lets you stream video through it). Interestingly,Oled also told him and Sony Ericsson is currently working on at least one Windows phone 7 handset. You probably remember that SE announced last week that their main focus will be on Android but that WP7 was still on their road-map so it’s good to have a confirmation coming from Microsoft’s side.

New version of Windows Live for Windows Mobile released


Microsoft has quitly released a new version of Windows Live for Windows Phones 3 days ago. Unfortunitely there’s no changelog but the application version went from 10.7.0057.802 to 10.7.0061.0500. The new version isn’t availalbe yet in the MarkePlace so you’ll have to head over here to grab it.

Windows Live application for Window Mobile update released

Microsoft is on a roll lately, they’ve just released an updated version of the Windows Live application for Windows Mobile. Lot’s of new features are in there and some UI enhancement for finger friendly use. Unfortunately there’s still no Calendar synchronization:

Microsoft rolls out MSN portal update

Following Kara Swisher’s MSN Renovation article it didn’t take long for Microsoft to start rolling out the updated version of their MSN protal. It looks like the first country so far to get it is France. Here you can see the mail sent to french users showing what’s new etc. :
