LG Quantum officially available on AT&T for $199.99

The LG Quantum, also known as the LG Optimus 7 Q (or LG C900) is now officially on sale at AT&T’s retail stores and in their online store for the price of $199.99 with a 2 year contract.You probably already the know the device’s hardware specifications but be sure to check out my detailed Windows Phone 7 hardware comparison chart here before making your choice.

Enable tethering on the LG Optimus 7

I guess that this was bound to happen sooner rather than later. You can enable tethering on the LG Optimus 7 in the same way that it is done on the Samsung Omnia 7 and Samsung Focus. First you will have to enter the Diagnosis /MFG mode of the phone by dialing ##634# and taping call. Once it’s done the MFG application will appear in your phone’s application list. Launch the MFG app and enter the following code to unlock the diagnosis tools: 277634#*#. You will then see several option appear. Once you have done this download the LG Modem drivers here and follow the instructions below:

LG teams up with Microsoft to offer 10 Windows Phone 7 applications for free every 60 days

LG is really taking Windows Phone 7 seriously it seems. The company has teamed up with Microsoft to offer 10 Windows Phone 7 applications for free every 60 days if you have an LG Optimus 7 or LG Optimus 7 Q / Quatum device. This is approximately $30 of apps from a range of categories (social, games entertainment etc..) and frankly that kinda rocks in my opinion. Full press release after the break:
