Samsung may be getting ready to officially announce and lauch the i5700 Spica Android smartphone and the yet unknown R860 (it is speculated to be head to MetroPC or Cricket given the 1700MHz AWS connectivity and CDMA/EV-DO support). Both devices have been approved by the FCC this week. See here & here

Samsung i5700 Spica hands-on video

Here’s more in-depth hands on video of the Samsung i5700 Spica (also know as the Galaxy Lite). There’s nothing really exciting though given that the device runs the vanila Android UI with no customitions done unlike the HTC Hero, Motorola CLIQ and Samsung Behold II.

Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite Spica Android phone hands-on video

The boys over at just uploaded a short hands-on video of Samsung‘s new Android smartphone the i5700 Galaxy Lite aka Spica.

It looks like the AMOLED screen suffer from the same problems as on the original Samsung Galaxy and all other AMOLED devices from Samsung (Omnia II, etc..) it’s barely usable outdoors.

Remember the Samsung i5700 Galaxy LiteI posted about a couple of weeks ago? Well according to Cellularmania it has now been rename (in Italy) the Samsung Spica. Unfortunately there’s still Android UI customisation in sight unlike the Samsung Behold II.

Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite video hands-on

The ninjas over at managed to get some hands-on action with Samsungs new Android smartphone the I5700 Galaxy Lite. Lite, because it’s the little brother of the already available I7500 Galaxy. The I5700 will have 1gb of onboard memory, a 3.2Mpix camera (but o flash) and the same AMOLED touch screeen. This phone will go head-to-head against HTC’s Tattoo.
