HTC Pushing out Internet Sharing update to its first generation Windows Phone 7 devices

HTC has just started a firmware update roll out that enables the WiFi hotspot Internet Sharing features on several of its first generation Windows Phone 7 handset across the world. The HTC HD7 seems to be the one getting it right now while some HTC Mozart user are also receiving the update notification too. feel free to tells if you gotitin the comments below (Phone model, carrier and country please). It you have a Samsung Windows Phone user there’s no need to wait for it as you can simply enable it yourself right now by following this short guide here.

AT&T Windows Phone 7.5 Mango roll out starting September 27th

According to an internal memo sent to WPCentral the AT&T Mango roll out set to start on September 27th. The following handsets will receive the update notification on Sept 27th:

  • HTC Surround (SKU 65212)
  • LG Quantum (SKU 65205)
  • Samsung Focus (SKU 65203) rev 1.3

Unfortunately Samsung Focus device with the rev 1.4 will have to wait until late October:

Update has not entered the AT&T SPE lab yet; however, Samsung is targeting for 10/17 lab entry and 10/31 TA

HTC HD7S available on AT&T

The HTC HD7S is now finally available on AT&T more than three months after its initial announcement. As you most probably already know the HTC HD7S is essentially just and HTC HD7 with a Super LCD screen instead of the regular TFT-LCD panel so there’s no need to really discuss the hardware side of things here. Don’t want to wait for your carrier to allow your HTC Windows Phone 7 to receive the NoDo update? HTC HD7S with Super LCD announced, LG Optimus 3D renamed LG Thrill 4G

This just came out of nowhere…AT&T and HTC have just announced an updated version of the HTC HD7 (which was only available on the now soon to be defunct T-Mobile US). So, what’s new in the HTC HD7S? Well it will come pre-loaded with the latest NoDo version of Windows Phone 7 and will also feature a 4.3inch Super LCD panel (this is a first as there was no SLCD panels of this size manufactured before). AT&T is also going to carry the LG Optimus 3D which is renamed as the LG Thrill 4G. Check out the full press release after the break:
