Nokia Lumia 800 11501 / 11500 update officially out

The much awaited second Nokia Lumia 800 update is now being rolled out to devices worldwide via Zune and surprise surprise it’s the 1600.2483.8107.11501 firmware that I’ve extensively talked about and detailed since last week. So if you want to know what’s in it and especially what isn’t fixed simply click here. We are already seeing people complaining that the Missing battery issue hasn’t been fixed (and will probably never be as it may very well be a hardware defect at this stage). Anyway, feel free to voice your opinion and experience in the comments below.

For all the people wondering what is the difference between 1600.2483.8107.11500 / 1600.2483.8106.11500 and 1600.2483.8107.11501. Well the are the same thing. 11500 is just the Zune/MS version while 11501 is the Nokia Care version. Helps Nokia to differentiate between the two.

1600.2483.8107.11500 and 1600.2483.8107.11501 are exactly the same. 11500 is just the Zune/MS version while 11501 is the Nokia Care version. Helps Nokia to differentiate between the two.

I just wanted to ask, is there a way for force the update to show up? I just got a Lumia 800 as a gift from Nokia, and I got it to update to 8107, but I kinda want to also get the 15000 firmware update. I have Nokia Care Suite and I got the update from their servers, I can flash it, I just would prefer not to wipe my phone cause I just got it all setup.

I remember there was a way, I did it on my Focus when NoDo and Mango were being rolled out, and I was able to get the updates going, but I did stuff with the registry and so on, which I can’t do on the Nokia since I can’t find a Registry editor that will load on the phone.

Anyways, if you know a way, I would appreciate it, otherwise I will just wait a bit. (btw I am in the US, so I am not sure how it will work. My phones product code is 059J3G0 which doesn’t have a 15000 update on the repo. but I got some other one that seemed ok downloaded.)
