Samsung Focus S snapped in the Wild. Still no official pictures and full specifications

One has to wonder why AT&T jumped the gun and decided to announce the Samsung Focus S ans Samsung Focus Flash before both devices were ready to be unveiled by Samsung. As of right now we still don’t know much about the Focus S full hardware specification besides what AT&T talked about in its press release and the only pictures we have are the screen caps taken from the WPC surprise showing a few months ago and this new one above (the Storage amount is still a mystery, same for the Ram).

Prior to today’s Samsung Omnia W announcement we didn’t know much about the Samsung Focus Flash either, but given that its is simply the US variant of the devices announced earlier in the morning you the same specs apply to it (probably not the casing design though. Samsung has yet to announce the European variant of the Focus S which is surely going to be a bestseller thanks to it’s 4.3″ Super AMOLED Plus screen.

ZTE Tania Windows Phone 7.5 Mango phone unveiled

Hot on the heels of the Samsung Omnia W comes the Tania; ZTE‘s first Windows Phone running Mango. The device isn’t the highest end device ever especially with it’s tiny 4GB of internal storage (wtf? the minimum required specs is 8GB). The Tania also features a 4.3″ TFT LCD screen a 1Ghz SoC (MSM8255 I guess), 5MPX camera, 10.5mm of thickness and a 1500Mha battery. It’s not yet known if this handset will ever be released outside of Asia this year. One more picture after the break:

HTC debuts pre-Mango update roll out

HTC and Microsoft have apparently started to roll out a “Mango Friends and Family Bundle: Pre-Cleanup” update in preparation of the big roll out which is expected to start this week. The specifics of this update are unfortunately not know yet but the “pre-cleanup” words may indicate that this one is probably a backup process or firmware update. If you have any information about it please let me know in the comments section below or on Twitter.

Update: Folks are speculating that this update is meant to allow people currently running the Beta/RTM code to update without having to revert back to NoDo…But this is just speculation at this point because the use of the word cleanup is a tad bit weird IMO.
