Verizon Windows Phone Mango roll out also starting on September 27th?

Take this one with a grain of salt because according to a Verizon chat-room rep the WCDMA HTC Trophy Mango update will be pushed on the same day as AT&T; September 27th. Once again you should take this with some caution knowing that support folks usually don’t know much about theses kinds of stuff. In either cases you can already update your HTC 7 Trophy if you are in Europe or in the US on Verizon by flashing with the final Firmware which has leaked a few days ago (edit: nope, looks like Verizon’s final firmware is newer than the one that leaked!).

One more Samsung Mango application released: Mini Diary

Samsung seems to be really committed to Windows Phone this year given all the new applications and enhancements that they are releasing for Windows Phone 7.5 Mango this month. The new Mini Diary application released today is the 9th application that the Korean mobile giant has launched in the last few weeks. This one is somewhat similar to the HTC Locations app (aka HTC Footprints) recently released but with the ability to add drawings and local weather forecast directly from within in the app (Voice notes can also be included).

Samsung releases another Mango application: Funshot

Samsung is on a roll this time around and has just released another Windows Phone 7 Mango application today called Funshot. This application lets you take pictures with effects applied to them in realtime in the viewfinder (bulge, swirl, stretch, squeeze etc.) and works  back-facing or front facing camera. Nothing really essential here but this time I can’t really complain about Samsung not supporting its Windows Phone 7 users. My only hope is that the DLNA Allshare application is made compatible with the Samsung Omnia7 and Focus.

AT&T Windows Phone 7.5 Mango roll out starting September 27th

According to an internal memo sent to WPCentral the AT&T Mango roll out set to start on September 27th. The following handsets will receive the update notification on Sept 27th:

  • HTC Surround (SKU 65212)
  • LG Quantum (SKU 65205)
  • Samsung Focus (SKU 65203) rev 1.3

Unfortunately Samsung Focus device with the rev 1.4 will have to wait until late October:

Update has not entered the AT&T SPE lab yet; however, Samsung is targeting for 10/17 lab entry and 10/31 TA
