More Apps and games updated for Mango

Just a little heads up for those of you who are already running Mango; several Xbox Live games and a handfull of applications have been recompiled for Windows Phone 7.5 in the past few hours. Rocket Riot and Rise of Glory just got updated on my phone and now finally support multi-tasking/fast application switching. In the case of Rocket Riot  the framerate rate seems to be slightly higher than the previous version probably because it’s no longer locked at 30Fps (I could be wrong though and this could simply be a placebo effect..).

Rewind and repeat: Windows Phone 7.5 Mango roll out will start this fall

Here’s another “I told you so” moment: the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango roll out will start this fall as stated again by Joe Belfiore on twitter just a few minutes ago. He also took the time to point out that Fall starts on September 23th just as I did in my original post (but this doesn’t mean that 23 is the day of the roll out either). A big thank you to Joe for confirming what I posted two weeks ago. Now let’s go back to our regular rumor feeds…

Windows Phone 7.5 Mango video chat demonstrated on the HTC titan

Here’s a short promotional video courtesy of Microsoft’s Windows Phone team demonstrating video chat using the soon to be released mulch-platform Tango app running on Mango on an HTC Titan handset. Besides the fact that this is the first time that we see video chat in action on a Windows Phone 7 device there’s nothing really ground breaking in thre that couldn’t already be done countless years ago.
