It should be fairly obvious by now that the Verizon HTC Trophy is just about to launch given all the recent info released and leaked. The latest is the release of the “Verizon HTC Trophy” Gamer pics and theme pack for Xbox Live. With the upcoming Mango event on May 24 one would logically assume that Verizon’s first Windows Phone 7 device launch will take place either before on on the same day.

Samsung Omnia 7 and Focus update issues still not fixed

 

Patience is a virtue, right? Samsung Omnia 7 and Samsung Focus will unfortunately still have to wait for their Windows Phone 7 Nodo and security updates according to Microsoft’s latest post on the situation.

I know some of you are eager for news on the Omnia 7 and Focus issues I discussed last week. We’re making progress, but I don’t have anything new to report just yet. As soon as I do, I’ll let you know.

Why Windows Phone 7 Mango really matters

Announced during MWC11 back in February, Mango is Windows Phone 7’s first major update that will finally give the platform a feature parity with its main competitors; Android and iOS. Microsoft has already publicly disclosed most of the new features and improvements that will come with this new OS release and those who haven’t been officially unveiled are for the most part already known. Looking at all these new enhancements and additions coming-out later this year makes it perfectly clear that Microsoft isn’t standing still and instead perfectly aware that to compete in the rapidly changing & growing mobile market it has to act quickly.
