Microsoft apologizes again for Windows Phone 7 update issues

Unless you’ve been living under a rock this year you are probably well aware that the Windows Phone 7 process didn’t go as smoothly as initially expected. Things are fortunately getting back on track with the NoDo update which is now being pushed out to carrier branded devices ac cross the world. The where”s my phone update” chart has been updated today to reflect yesterday’s news (it’s partially wrong thought as I can confirm that SFR branded devices are getting NoDo). Unfortunately AT&T users will have to wait until early April:

Estimated testing completion date is early April 2011

If you don’t want to wait just head over here and try to force the notifications on your device.

Microsoft’s Eric Hautala also had the following to say:

I know many of you are disappointed, even angry. You certainly have a right to be. We’ve fallen far short of your expectations, and our own, and for that I’m truly sorry. We didn’t set out to let you down. But it’s clear we did. Whether you’re someone who has followed our progress from the start, or are new to Windows Phone, you deserve the updates we’ve promised. My job is to get us on the right path and deliver them.

Let’s just hop that there are going to be updates between now and Mango though. I would really be happy if my phone could save my camera settings..
