Google releases official AdMob SDK for Windows Phone 7

Google has just saved the day and announced the availability to the Beta SDK of Admob for Windows Phone 7. As you probably already know,Microsoft’s own Adcenter is only available to US residents, leaving every body else in the cold and forced to use third-party and un-officialy Ad controls instead. So it’s definitely nice to see Google stepping up and releasing an official Admob control for Windows Phone7 (it’s also fairly obvious that it was done because it helps them generate money … but that business as usual and for once also helps us developers).

Leaked Windows Phone 7 HTC Ignite, HTC Prime and Android HTC Pyramid renders

It the HTC handsets renders leak day. XDA.cn has blessed us with 3 new renders today which may or may not be real (always keep that in mind). The first one which you can see above is apparently the HTC Prime Windows Phone 7 device featuring a hardware keyboard and design similar to the HTC Desire Z and also the same hardware specification (MSM7230 SoC with Adreno 205 GPU).

Sprint HTC Arrive now available for pre-order

Sprin’t HTC Arrive, which is the first CDMA Windows Phone 7 device is now officially available for pre-order at Amazon for $149.99 with a 2 years contract. The HTC Arrive is essentially the CDMA version of the HTC 7 Pro currently available in Europe and has one of the best hardware keyboard on a mobile device. The only issue being that Windows phone 7 doesn’t have really good landscape support right now.

HTC Thunderbolt finally launching on March 17th

Verizon’s first LTE handset may finally be launching on March 17th according to online retailers and internal documents. Originally scheduled to hit retail last month, the HTC Thunderbolt, which is essentially an HTC Desire HD with an added Qualcomm MDM9600 LTE radio, was apparently suffering from bad battery life because of when used in LTE mode and awaited a new software fix (radio rom I guess) from Qualcomm before being unleashed to the world.
