Fruit Ninja Marketing director talks about Windows Phone 7

I was just glancing over a interview with Halfbrick’s marketing director, Phil Larsenn about Fruit Ninja on Windows Phone 7 and stumbled upon this priceless quote:

This is Halfbrick’s first product for Windows Phone. How is it to develop for?
Phil Larsen: Windows Phone in general, as you saw during the conference, it has nine different phones. The challenge for developing for Windows Phone – and for Android as well, I guess – is that you need to accommodate for different devices, with different specs. Whereas iPhone is usually one thing.

I’m guessing that he missed the memo: Every Windows Phone 7 device out now has exactly the same set of hardware specifications (besides the amout of Ram/Rom) so developers don’t have to “accommodate” for anything. Anyway, marketing directors shouldn’t talk about software development…Check out my Fruit Ninja hands on video here.

Windows Phone 7 application loading performance update shown on video

Here’s a short video demonstrating the application loading speeding improvements that are part of the upcoming  Windows Phone 7 update that will be pushed out next months. Don’t expect any miracles thought because as of right now and Omnia 7 or even and LG Optimus7 which is the fastest WP7 device when it comes to loading applications, are as fast as the Samsung Taylor that supposedly has the improvement rom (I personally find it ridiculous that MS didn’t demo this one current retail devices instead..):
