Samsung Cetus i917 Windows Phone 7 live pictures

The leaks won’t stop! He re are the first live pictures of the Samsung CetusSGH-i917 Windows Phone 7 handset. It looks fairly similar to the Samsung Galaxy S and the screen is definitely AMOLED (most probably Super-AMOLED). The device is expected to launch on AT&T this fall. I wouldn’t be surprised if it had the same specification as the other leaked Samsung WP7 handset we saw last week. More pictures after the break:

Nice…you do realise the thing you linked to is nothing but a POS linkbait article refuted by every single person who has ever used Windows Phone 7? I didn’t link to it before and don’t want to link to it now so I’m going to edit it out (fyi:it’s a link to the famous Infoworld piece trashing WP7 that appeared last month..). sorry. But feel free to tell me why you are notinteresed in the Cetus and WP7. Their are many previews and hands-on all over the web. Check’em out :)

    This is my next device!!!

  • Diego!

    I agree! WP7 rocks!

I forgot to add, this phone looks like 1000 times better than the Samsung WP7 brick phone that popped up on the internet a while ago. This version looks both polished and professional.

And is also nice they didn’t copy any other cellphone on the market (Samsung Galaxy S… Iphone 3gs anybody??)

So, yes, please add Hummingbird chip and SuperAMOLED screen and I’m sold! :D

Oh looks it’s that troll that was on Engadget as well, lol. Get a life, seriously.

Hmm, see I feel the opposite way, I really liked that brick Samsung, it reminded a lot of a Zune HD. This thing looks like one giant piece of plastic, that spent 3 full days being polished with a car buffer. I will have to say those pics of the brick were rather fuzzy (these aren’t too much clearer though) so it’s hard to judge it well. In the end spec will win out for me anyway, as i want a large screen and the most powerful hardware that’s available at the time. Oh well, only time will tell.

I agree with you that at the end spec will win out and we will choose specs over design (in my case, for example).

But the brick phone also looked kinda plastic. Did you get to see the guy holding it out in the wild? You could tell it had a lot of plastic thrown over it.

Anyway, as you said, hopefully in days to come, we will get to see clearer pictures of both devices. yaaay :D

I actually like the look of it (Cetus). If the build quality is as good as the Galaxy S (and has a Super-AMOLED) then we have a winner here. IMO
