Coding for the iPhone vs Windows Phone 7

Microsoft MVP Don Burnette has wrapped a  presentation comparing the iPhone coding experience versus the Windows Phone 7 development environment.

My thoughts on iPhone coding a master-detail set of two views on iPhone versus Windows Phone 7 and why the designer-developer story is better with the Microsoft toolset thanks to Expression Blend and the C# language.. This is just an opinion piece, but realize I am not a newbie at either platform. I was using Interface Builder on NeXT boxes in 1993-1994 and unfortunately in my opinion not enough has changed, to put real design into the hands of the iPhone coder..

Check out the full presentation below:

He concludes:

Honestly I don’t see much difference here with Google’s new App Inventor than I see with Apple’s interface builder, just a more generic minimalist approach..

Microsoft is really throwing some shitty missiles to Apple.
    And I’m not saying they’re lying, but…

    My God!

I think Microsoft should focus on showing how good and improved WP7 is and not take their time to make this stupid comparisons. I hope WP7 works smooth and fast when released.

    Fingers crossed! :)

Ill just add fuel to the fire. The person this article is referring to is NOT a Microsoft employee. Congratulations on just outing yourself as a biased Microsoft hater. The only people firing any of these “missiles” are haters like you attacking Microsoft for things that somebody else who says anything positive about Microsoft.. Microsoft wins, always. Don’t believe me? Do a quick search on a timeline of Microsoft and their accomplishments.. They always win, they have enough money to keep themselves going until they win. Bill Gated didnt become the richest man on earth by sucking, he that by owning. Stop clinging to your fruity little Apple company and join us in the real world. If Microsoft sucks, why does everyone keep buying their shit? Apple < Microsoft
