The Acer Liquid hits the FCC, gets ready for US release

Only a few days after being launched in the UK the Acer Liquid has been cleared to land in the US. According to the FCC filing the device is equiped with the 850Mhz & 1900Mhz radio bands which means that it could be released on AT&T. Nothing has been announced yet but expect to see it in early 2010.

Is Windows Mobile 7 going to be too late?


With Android‘s fast developement pace, the upcoming iPhone, Maemo etc One has to wonder how Microsoft’s Windows Mobile Team can sleep at night especially when you have Phil Moore, Microsoft UK Head of Mobility saying:

“We’re still playing catch-up. When Apple came on to the scene a couple of years ago, it threw away the rulebook and reinvented it. We unfortunately don’t have that luxury. It’s true, Apple caught us all napping. It launched something that was very iconic, new and unseen with a very good user interface.”

Telus launches the LG iQ (eXpo)

LG iQ Telus
Canada’s Telus is officially launching the LG iQ today. As you already know the iQ is the canadian name of the eXpo (formely known as the LG Monaco) which recently launch on AT&T in the US. Swype keyboard extracted from Omnia II, try it now

It was just a matter of days before somebody extracts the Swype input keyboard found on Verizon‘s Omnia II. You can now downoload it and try it on your Windows Mobile smartphone, just make sure to backup your device in case something goes wrong. Grab the CAB file here
