
Microsoft has just released a new firmware (version 4.3) for the ZuneHD which adds support for the upcoming 3D games & applications and a wider touchscreen keyboard among other bug fixes/features:
Browser:
•Faster performance in navigating web pages
•Option to render pages as Desktop or Mobile (Option in settings)
•Better Tap-To-Zoom
•Better ability to scroll when typing a message onlineKeyboard:
•Predictive Text
•Auto capitilization
•Dedicated Settings Menu
•Wider keyboard in landscape modeMusic:
•Artist bios now contain links to songs, other artists, and other albums
Radio:•Choice of seek method (presets or seek) in settings
Other•Apps load slightly faster, and the accuracy of the touchscreen is improved during game play.
•Apps close faster
•The power off says ”slide down to power off” instead of just ”Power Off”
•Faster Startup (less than 15s) or maybe not (see comments below)

Hey, I’m the poster from GDGT who wrote this list and I just want to say that I wasn’t 100% sure about the faster startup. I posted it anyways because it was an opinion, but I wasn’t expecting it to end up on Gizmodo and MobileTechWorld!
So yeah, that might not be true.

No problem, I updated the post.
Still not usable for me because there are no bookmarks. No way to save a stopping or pause in one MP3 file and go listen to another. Can’t return to the paused or stopped point in the first mp3 file.
Can one create playlists now on the ZuneHD rather than having to create them first on the PC and then transfer them to the Zune? This would be awesome.
